What is a tension fabric exhibition booth?
A tension fabric exhibition booth is a modular display system made of a lightweight aluminium tube frame with a custom-printed stretch fabric graphic pulled tightly over it. The fabric "tensions" across the frame to create a smooth, wrinkle-free surface. It's the most popular booth type for Malaysian trade shows and roadshows because it's easy to carry, fast to set up, and produces sharp, vibrant visuals.
What material is used for the fabric graphics?
We use high-quality dye-sublimation printed stretch fabric — a soft-touch polyester knit that produces sharp, full-colour images with no pixelation. The fabric is UV-resistant and washable. The frame is made of lightweight 6061 aluminium alloy tubing, which is strong yet light enough to carry in a bag.
What is a SEG (Silicone Edge Graphic) lightbox?
An SEG lightbox is a display frame with an internal LED lighting system that backlit a silicone-edged fabric graphic. The fabric has a thin silicone strip sewn around its border, which presses into a groove on the aluminium frame. The result is a tensioned, edge-to-edge illuminated display — like a giant glowing photograph. It's ideal for events, retail pop-ups, and premium brand activations.
What's the difference between tube frame and SEG frame displays?
Tube frame displays use snap-fit or clip-together aluminium tubes that the fabric stretches over — faster assembly, lighter weight, lower cost. SEG frames are heavier aluminium extrusion profiles with a channel that the silicone-edged fabric locks into — more rigid, cleaner edge, available with or without LED backlighting. Both produce excellent results; the right choice depends on your budget, event type, and whether you need illumination.
Setup & Assembly
How long does it take to set up a HelloDisplay exhibition booth?
Most of our tension fabric exhibition booths can be assembled by 1–2 people in 15–20 minutes without any tools. The aluminium tubes simply snap or clip together, and the fabric graphic stretches over the frame. Our SEG lightbox backdrops take slightly longer — typically 25–30 minutes for a standard size. All products come with an assembly guide, and we also provide video tutorials on request.
Do I need tools to assemble the booth?
No tools are required for our tube-frame tension fabric products. The aluminium tubes connect via snap-lock or bungee cord mechanisms, and the fabric clips or zips over the frame. For SEG lightbox frames, a rubber mallet may be useful to press the silicone edge into the channel groove, but is not strictly necessary.
Can one person set up the booth alone?
Smaller units (single-panel backdrops, counters, banners) can be set up by one person. For larger exhibition booths (3x3m and above), we recommend two people for faster and safer assembly, especially when attaching the fabric graphic to the top of the frame.
Ordering & Customisation
Is the design service really free?
Yes — free custom design is included with every order, no minimum spend. Send us your logo, brand colours, and any images or copy you want on the display, and our design team will create the artwork for your approval before printing. Revisions are included until you're happy.
Can I order a custom size that's not listed on the website?
Yes. Most of our products can be made in custom sizes. The SEG Lightbox Backdrop and several banner products are specifically designed for custom sizing. Contact us via WhatsApp with your required dimensions and we'll confirm availability and pricing.
What file format do I need to provide for my design?
If you have your own artwork ready, we accept AI, EPS, PDF, or high-resolution TIFF/PNG files (300 DPI or above at print size). We'll send you a template with bleed and safe zone guides. If you don't have artwork, just share your logo in any format and brief us on your vision — our designers handle the rest.
Can I print my own design without using your design service?
Yes. If you already have print-ready artwork, you can supply your own files and we will proceed directly to printing. Supply the file following our template specifications (available on request) and we'll review it before production.
Lead Time & Delivery
How long does it take to receive my order?
Our standard lead time is 7–12 business days from design approval to delivery. This covers design finalisation, print production, quality check, and shipping to your address in Malaysia. Rush orders may be available — contact us to discuss.
Do you offer ready stock items?
Yes. Select frame sets are available as ready stock (frames only, without printed fabric). This means you can receive the hardware sooner while the printed fabric is being produced, or reuse existing frames with a new fabric graphic for your next event.
Do you deliver nationwide across Malaysia?
Yes. We ship to all states in Malaysia including Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, and East Malaysia. Shipping cost and timeline vary by location. Contact us for a delivery quote to your area.
Pricing & Payment
How do I get a quote?
Browse our products on the website and add items to your cart for an online quote, or contact us directly via WhatsApp for a custom quote — especially for large orders, custom sizes, or full booth setups. We're fast to respond.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept online bank transfer (FPX), credit/debit card, and other payment methods available at checkout via our Shopify store. Contact us for corporate invoicing or purchase order arrangements.
After-Sales & Warranty
What happens if my fabric or frame arrives damaged?
Contact us immediately with photos of the damage. We will arrange a replacement or repair. Please refer to our refund and return policy for full details.
Can I reuse the frame with a new fabric graphic later?
Yes — this is one of the key advantages of our system. The aluminium tube frame is durable and reusable. You can order replacement fabric graphics whenever you need a fresh design for a new event or rebrand, without buying a new frame.
